Based in Southport, Merseyside, UK, Devils River began life in 2003, bursting onto the Merseyside live music scene as a power blues trio playing superb covers by Hendrix, SRV, Cream, Freddie King and more.

Soon the Devils began writing their own music and released their first CD and Download Album - Dead Man's Canyon. Incredibly the CD outsold Madonna and Take That in their local HMV in the first week of its release. 2006 was a highlight year with the band playing both stages of Liverpool's Cavern Club in one evening with a blistering blues rock cover set on the Beatles stage followed by a jaw dropping set of their original material on The Big Stage.

In 2007 the band began to gig some of their newer material and in 2008 and 2009 slowed down on live dates to record their latest CD release Deal With The Devil which was released early in 2010.

Devils River also play a great line up of classic blues and blues rock covers including the ambitious 10 minute Hendrix style jam starting with Third Stone From The Sun and blending into the explosive Voodoo Chile.

Influences include Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Muddy Waters, The Good Times, The Bad Times, and all the bits in between.

The Devils have received recognition for their musical Talents in The Southport Visitor, Blues Matters Magazine and appeared on local station Dune FM.
